L’Improbable

Want a bit of a Brussels-style vibe in Paris. Never fear! Again, and as usual, this is happening in the heart of Le Marais in the form of L'Improbable. Snuggled into the open courtyard of one of the quarter's many historic buildings, L'Improbable is truly a charming, hybrid spot. Laid-back decor and a static food van, its counter is just bursting with Belgian specialities and locally brewed beers. Their speciality? The famous "pistolet" which is as characteristic to Belgium as the baguette is to Paris, the burger to New York and as fish and chips are to London. The "pistolet" of which serveral varieties are available, is a little round stuffed bread roll, topped with a choice of condiments, which you can eat in or take away. A lighter menu is also available in winter, with for example, delicious soups. Once you've been enchanted by the friendly atmosphere and more than pocket-friendly prices (average 15 euros), you can't help but return. L'Improbable is also available for private hire.
